How Co-Ownership Works

01

Select Your Boat

  1. Browse available boats structured as dedicated single-asset LLCs and select the model, location, and share size that fit your lifestyle.
02

Secure Your Share

  1. Reserve your spot in the future single-asset LLC with a fully refundable deposit.
  2. We coordinate the remaining co-owners prior to formal formation and closing.
03

Formation & Purchase

  1. Once fully subscribed, a single-asset LLC is formed to acquire the boat.
  2. A structured operating agreement defines ownership rights, governance, usage allocation, and the approved annual operating budget.
04

Structured Usage

  1. Each owner receives a predefined annual allocation of days within a fair system.
  2. Peak season rotation ensures balanced access.
  3. Reservations are managed through a dedicated online scheduling platform designed for flexibility and transparency.
05

Professional Management

  1. A vetted local operator handles dockage, insurance, maintenance, and compliance.
  2. The boat is operated by a licensed captain to ensure safety and proper handling.
  3. Predictable monthly costs and zero operational burden.
06

Managed Exit

  1. When you decide to sell, we coordinate the structured resale of your interest to a qualified buyer.
  2. Liquidity built into the model.

The Galenne Captain’s Program
Own the boat. Earn the helm.
Co-ownership should feel like real ownership — including taking the helm yourself. Every Galenne owner starts out with a professional captain, then progresses through the Captain’s Program: a hands-on certification that builds your confidence and unlocks more freedom on the water, one level at a time. No classrooms — you’re assessed on real outings, on your own boat.
Level 1
Captained
Where everyone starts. A professional captain runs the boat while you learn the ropes, the marina and the booking app. Zero pressure, full enjoyment from day one.
Level 2
Day Skipper
Your captain assesses you on real outings — docking, handling, navigation and safety within Biscayne Bay. Pass, and you take the boat out for the day on your own.
Level 3
Overnight Skipper
Level up with night navigation, anchoring overnight, weather and range. Graduate and unlock self-skippered long weekends on cabin models.

Offshore Skipper
The Keys and the Bahamas, on your own terms.
Assessed on the water, on your specific boat — not in a classroom. Your captain doubles as your instructor, you progress at your own pace, and the captain option is always available. Certification is per boat class, for safety.
